Welcome!

Hello everyone! Well, Holly and I got this idea from some friends of ours (Nathan and Danni) and we thought it would be a great idea to keep you all updated on how and what we are doing out here in La Mirada, California! Here's a brief update to get things started.

Holly- Holly is currently working at the Biola University Registrar's office. She is the Transcript Clerk/receptionist. Her hours are 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday, and her office number is 562-944-0351 ext. 5232 (Just in case you ever wanted to give her a call). She loves the job and the people that she works with are awesome!

Brett- I finished my first semester here at Talbot and I passed a pass or fail class, and then got an A-, B+, B+, and I'm waiting on another grade. The B+'s were in the classes that challenged me the most. The Talbot grading system is taking some getting used to though (96-100=A, 94-95=A-, 92-93=B+, 88-91=B, 86-87=B-) because in my A- class I was pumped to see I got a 95, then I realized it was an A-. Oh well, I really do consider this semester amazing, because the classes were not about the grades at all, each class challenged me spiritually, intellectually, and as a person overall. This summer I am taking Theology I (Revelation and the Nature of God), and I am taking Beginning Greek 1 & 2 in a 7 week session started June 18 (that will challenge me greatly).

Church/Ministry-Holly and I are praying through whether or not to become members of a church that is an hour away. We both love this church so much, and finding something we both love has been no easy task. It's a multi cultural, warm, properly functioning church that seems to be bearing a lot of fruit in the community and we would love to serve there, though we want to make sure that is where the Lord wants us to serve.

We miss everyone back home and we love you! We love all of you friends we have met out here in SoCal also! God is so good, and we are so blessed!
