Bring On The Second Tri-Mester

Hello everyone! Yup, we're in our second trimester now! Holly is not as nausious all the time, though she still has a few spells. Her appetite is coming around a little bit, but she is still consuming far more crackers than any human should. She is also extremely tired all the time especially after work. Her belly is starting to poke out a little bit and her clothes are very tight on her now, which Brett hears about everyday. We talk talk to the baby every night before bed and we play baby music for the child (I was told to stop calling it an "it" because that makes it sound like we are having an alien). I (Brett) am the full time homemaker now, cooking, cleaning, washing clothes & dishes...in other words, I'm taking care of my wife (Holly told me to write that). Please keep praying for the three of us, we love and need your prayers.

Well, last week we had so much fun!!! Holly's Mother, Grandmother, Grandfather, and her Aunt Lindy flew out here for a week to hang out with us and to see just how beautiful California is (I know, I am bias). While they were here we had a family reunion for Papa's side of the family. We got to meet Papa's brother, Phil, Phil's sons, Dean and Scott, his cousin Sandy, and a bunch of other interesting people! It was a blast meeting so many different people, not to mention the food was amazing! We had such a great time with the family taking them to all the places we hang out, taking them to Biola, going shopping for maternity clothes, going to church, and they had such a great time being stuck on the freeway in the SoCal traffic! The time went by way too fast and we miss them so much already!

Last night (Wednesday), Holly and I went over to the house of our friends Peter and Wongu. Peter is an international student at Talbot from Kenya, and they cooked us some "African food" for dinner, which was absolutely great! Holly and I loved the food, which was chopped beef, a mashed vegetable dish, (potatos, beans, spinach, corn and onions) and some fun little doughnut type things. We had a blast with them learning about their culture, how they met, watching their wedding video (Holly's request), and talking about our Great God. They are the most amazing people and their hearts are absolutely incredible. We look forward to hanging out with them more!

We miss everyone so much and I would ask that if you read this, send Holly a little encouragement note. She's been down a little about not feeling well all the time, as well as just all the changes that we will be going through in the next little while. Her email address is hdurham24@gmail.com.

We love you so much! Thank you for your prayers!!!!
